Speaker Bio

The Department of Energy Building Technology Office (DOE BTO) is focused on identifying technologies with significant potential to save energy, and providing the research and support needed to help these technologies be successful in the market. Building analytics and Fault Detection and Diagnostics (FDD) are areas that are seen as having high potential for reducing energy use in a broad range of buildings.

The DOE’s National Labs has a series of projects under way to help advance the use of FDD. This session is intended to share information about current programs and start a dialog as to how the DOE can work with the building industry so that owners can gain the benefits of improved performance using FDD solutions.
