Data Scientist and Programmer, buildingfit
Christopher Thomas, MSIS, is a Data Scientist and Programmer for buildingfit, an international engineering firm improving energy efficiency in commercial and industrial facilities. As a recent graduate of the David S. Eccles School of Business with a Master’s of Science in Information Systems degree, Christopher is well-versed in networking, database design, and machine learning. Christopher writes custom analytics for SkySpark software using the Axon programming language. Christopher has helped deploy SkySpark projects large and small and also has experience collecting building monitoring data “at the edge” with T-Star, TrendR, and ClimaCheck monitoring devices and systems. He was previously a nonprofit Executive Director and has delivered energy-related presentations to the Utah State Legislature and Nuclear Regulatory Commission. He also served on the Energy and Environment subcommittee of Utah Governor Gary Herbert’s original Ten Year Energy Task Force.
